Job Responsibilities
As a Bricklayer, you’ll be an integral part of the construction team. Your daily tasks may include:
- Laying bricks, blocks, and stones to construct or repair walls, arches, chimneys, fireplaces, and other structures.
- Working from detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Measuring distances and calculating the materials needed.
- Mixing mortar by hand or machine and spreading it appropriately.
- Sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials.
- Cutting and shaping bricks using power tools and hand tools.
